About Me: Dr. Vikram Wanjari is an environmental researcher specializing in electrochemical sensor development for water quality monitoring. He holds a B.Tech. in Environmental Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and completed his Ph.D. at IIT Bombay, where his research focused on laser-induced graphene (LIG)-based sensors and molecularly imprinted polymers for detecting emerging contaminants such as PFAS and pharmaceutical residues. His work integrates materials science, analytical chemistry, and environmental engineering to develop low-cost, field-deployable sensing platforms for real-time monitoring. He also has experience with water infrastructure modeling tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and StormCAD. His current research interests include smart water monitoring systems, integration of AI/ML with environmental sensing, and the development of advanced materials for selective and sensitive pollutant detection, aimed at addressing critical environmental challenges.
Research Interest: Electrochemical sensors for Environmental Monitoring, AI-based sensors for pollutant detection, Environmental Analytical Methods, Environmental Hydraulics, Urban and Rural Water Infrastructure Design
