About Me: I am currently working as Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the Indian Institue of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. I have completed my Ph. D, M. Tech. and B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from University of Calcutta. I perused my schooling from Majilpur J . M. Training School, Jaynagar, West Bengal and Ramkrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math. My research interests are waste water management, corrosion management, adsorption, membrane separation, non-conventional energy sources, Flow Assurance. I have published 50 Papers (with 3930 citations) in the reputed journal with high impact factor. I am currently doing research in the area of Flow Assurance, wax remediation, scale remediation, corrosion, oil spill etc. My research group synthesized several novel additives from bio resources which is very effective to handle flow assurance and wax deposition problem. I have 4 grant patent in my credit. I have handling numerous research and consulting projects funded by the various ministries and industries of national importance. I have guided 6 PhD scholars and 30 M. Tech dissertations. I am the recipient of several International Award and National Award like “Distinguish Achievement Awardfor Petroleum Engineering Faculty” by SPE in 2021, “ONGC Award for Excellent in Design and Development of Oil/Gas Related Process Plant and/or Chemical” for the year 2020. Recently he has been honored with 2025 Regional Technical Award-Production and Operations for South Asia & the Pacific Region from SPE International.
