About Me: Prof. Tarachand Amgoth is a distinguished academician and research leader serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Renowned for his pioneering work in Edge Intelligence, Fog-Cloud Continuum, and Wireless Sensor Networks, he has produced over 4800 citations and 12 Ph.D. scholars—several of whom now serve in global academic and industrial positions. His visionary contributions span funded projects exceeding ₹1 crore, cutting across domains like predictive maintenance, AI-enabled smart infrastructure, and solar-powered drone systems. He is also the Co-founder of AiThingX, a deep-tech startup at IIT Dhanbad, focused on AIoT innovation. Prof. Amgoth’s work has garnered international collaborations with leading institutions across Canada, Austria, France, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and the UK. As a prolific author with more than 60 top-tier publications in IEEE, ACM, Elsevier, and Springer journals, he has earned multiple accolades, including the prestigious Best Thesis Award for his PhD student and recognition as one of the top 2% scientists globally by Stanford University.
