About Me: Arup Kumar Pal is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, India. Before joining this institution, he held the position of Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur from April 2011 to December 2011. He received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore, India, in 2006. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in 2011. With over fourteen years of experience in teaching and research, he has contributed to more than 100 research papers published in esteemed journals and international conference proceedings. Notably, he has served as the sole or principal guide for twelve Ph.D. students who successfully graduated under his supervision. The students have contributed significantly to various aspects of Information Security, like image security, data hiding, remote user authentication, Blockchain, and DNA computing. In addition, he has received several Best Paper Awards for his research presentations at various international conferences. He has also received several R&D projects from prestigious organizations such as ICMR, DST, MeitY, CSIR, and C3iHub IIT Kanpur. His primary research interests include Information Security, Blockchain, Multimedia Security, and Image Analysis. Moreover, he has organized several STC/FDPs in the areas of Cryptography and Image Processing. He has actively served as an Advisory Committee and Technical Programme Committee (TPC) member at various conferences and workshops.
