PhD PROGRAM

   OVERVIEW

Candidates can pursue a PhD in Chemistry full-time or part-time at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB). National-level entrance exams like GATE, NET/JRF, CSIR, etc., are used to choose candidates for admission to the PhD program (CCB), and a thorough viva-voce is then held. The option to convert into an integrated PhD is available to internal two-year M.Sc./M.Tech. students finishing their M.Sc./M.Tech. The department also accepts Ph.D. applications from students with degrees from IITS and other distinguished universities. According to the institute's policies, registered PhD students will receive a monthly fellowship. Organic, inorganic, physical, and materials chemistry are among the core chemistry specialities in which the department grants PhDs.
