Doctoral Opportunities for Regular, Part-time, and Externally-funded Candidates

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences invites full-time as well as part-time Ph.D. applications from motivated candidates interested in pursuing research in disciplines such as English Language and Literature, Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy. Candidates with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) who have qualified GATE/UGC-NET/JRF or an appropriate national-level examination are eligible for admission.

The department supports rigorous and innovative research and has consistently published in leading peer-reviewed national and international journals with high impact factors. We promote interdisciplinary research and actively encourage scholars to engage with contemporary societal challenges through a cross-disciplinary lens.
