M.Tech Admissions 2025-2026

Steps to Apply
  1. Click on the link to Register Now! Registration is CLOSED NOW
  2. Fill in the complete registration form and submit to receive a verification email.
  3. Check your email and verify your registration.
  4. Once verified, login to the M.Tech Admission portal with the credentials provided via email.
Admission Procedure

The following outlines the admission process:

  1. Submit the online application form on the IIT(ISM) website between March 20, 2025, and April 19, 2025.
  2. GATE candidates must register at the COAP 2025 portal.
  3. Sponsored candidates/IIT graduates will apply via the IIT(ISM) portal.
  4. Pay the application fee:
    • ₹600 for UR/EWS/OBC, ₹300 for SC/ST/PWD/Transgender (GATE/IIT Graduates).
    • ₹2000 for Sponsored candidates.
  5. Upload required documents as per guidelines.
  6. Take a printout of the application form after submission for your records.
  7. The admission process includes:
    • COAP counselling based on GATE score and CGPA.
    • Departmental Review for IIT Graduates/Sponsored candidates.
Documents to Upload
  • Recent passport size photograph and signature.
  • Qualifying Degree Marksheet (final semester/year, or pre-final year for appearing candidates).
  • Valid GATE scorecard (if applicable).
  • Experience certificate (for M.Tech Mining Engineering, if applicable).
  • Category certificates (OBC, SC/ST, EWS).
  • Intermediate (10+2) marksheet (for Pharmaceutical Sciences).
  • PWD certificate (if applicable).
  • Employer Endorsement Certificate (for Sponsored candidates).
  • Salary Bank Account/EPF statement (for private Sponsored candidates).
Documents Required at Reporting
  • Online application form (printed copy).
  • Seat allotment letter (printed copy).
  • Admission fee payment receipt.
  • Migration or College Leaving Certificate.
  • Photo ID proof and Proof of Age.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate and additional medical certificate (for Mining Engineering candidates).
  • 4 passport-size and 10 stamp-size photos.
  • Undertaking regarding scholarships (for Sponsored candidates).
  • Final semester/year marksheet for "appearing" candidates (by September 30, 2025).
Withdrawal of Admission

To withdraw admission, send an email to aradmn@iitism.ac.in. Refund guidelines:

  • Before the 5th main round: Entire fee refunded minus ₹2000 processing fee.
  • After the 5th main round: Only caution money and advance hostel mess fee refunded.
