Eligibility Criteria

IIT(ISM) offers admission in MBA and MBA (Business Analytics) for candidates having a valid CAT 2025 score.

The Eligibility Criteria of MBA Programme is as follows:
  1. Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or having 60% marks or CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 [55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 for SC/ST/PwD (Differently Abled Categories)] in their degree from a recognized University.
  2. Final year students (for the above-mentioned program) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all the requirements for the qualifying degree before start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion of the program latest by September 30, 2026.
  3. All applicants should have a valid CAT-2025 score.
The Eligibility Criteria of MBA in Business Analytics Programme is as follows:
  1. Candidates with B.Tech/B.E. degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA [55% marks in aggregate or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD (Differently Abled Categories)] will be eligible for the programme.
  2. Final year students (for the above-mentioned program) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all the requirements for the qualifying degree before start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion of the program latest by September 30, 2026.
  3. All applicants should have a valid CAT-2025 score.

Shortlist for interview process will be announced by the Admission Cell (PG– Ph. D.). Only those who are shortlisted will be invited to the interview process (Personal Interview) through their registered email.

Note:

  • Application Fee for both MBA and MBA in Business Analytics (Gen/OBC/EWS): Rs. 3200
  • Application Fee for both MBA and MBA in Business Analytics (SC/ST/PwD): Rs. 1600
  • Application Fees Reconciliation may take up to 7–10 days. Hence, please do not make 2nd time payment and wait for same. Preserve your payment receipt for future communication for any clarification on same.
  • Application Fees once paid is Non-refundable.

Terms & Conditions:

  • The fee being paid is only towards the application and does not in any way guarantee issuance of Offer Letter etc. The application fees once paid is non-refundable even if the application is rejected for any reason.
  • Application Fee once paid is Non-refundable, Candidate should go through the Detailed Notification and ensure the eligibility before making payment.
  • When a candidate makes double payment by mistake, the refund can be considered only on bringing it to the notice of the competent authority of IIT (ISM), Dhanbad by email on admission_ms@iitism.ac.in within 7 days of making such payment with all required supporting documents. Any kind of requests beyond this 7 days period will not be entertained. The refund process will be initiated after completion of admission after receiving the refund request in all eligible cases of refund. This is applicable only in case of multiple payments by a candidate.
  • If due to any reason department cancels notification and decides to refund the fee the amount will be returned duly excluding the processing fee involved in making such payments.
  • During the process of making payment by the candidate if by any chance the amount is deducted from the candidate and the same has not reached to the IIT(ISM) Dhanbad account is automatically refunded by the Payment gateway provided on bringing the issue to the notice of Payment Gateway service provided in due course of time.
