Hi! I am Ashis, born in Calcutta (Now Kolkata).
My second home is Singapore.

I welcome you to visit my home page

My research interests are in the areas of Mechanics of materials, Phase field method for microstructure evolution, processing and charecterization of nanostructured and nanocomposite materials, Thermal stress analysis of fin. For more details see my Publication page.

For HWs and class material see the teaching page.

I had the good fortune of working for my Master degree (M.Tech.) under the supervision of Prof. P.C. Dumir and Prof. G.P. Dube, IIT Delhi. Prof. Dumir gave me the opportunity for taking tutorial classes of Applied Mechanics for B.Tech students. He introduced me advanced mechanics of solids which is being used, till now, in my research and class teaching. My good fortune also continued during my doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Srikanth Vedantam and Prof. Lu Li at National University of Singapore. Besides PhD guidance, Prof. Vedantam taught me an advanced level of continuum mechanics and its application in the various field of engineering. I have also closely worked with Prof. Prakash Thamburaja and Prof. Manoj Gupta at National University of Singapore.

Thanks to all of them for their help and support which contributed towards building my academic and professional career.
