IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is pleased to invite applications for PhD fellowship from ASEAN countries under “Doctoral fellowship in India for ASEAN”. This fellowship will be funded by Ministry of Education; Govt. of India with a monthly stipend, an annual research grant up to 5 years of PhD Programme (mentioned in the Table appended below). This program is designed exclusively for students belong to ASEAN countries. Details of the fellowship and eligibility criteria is as below:-

The Indian School of Mines was formally opened on 9th December 1926, by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India to address the need for trained manpower related to mining activities in the country with disciplines of Mining and Applied Geology. The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) constituted under Institute of Technology Act, 1961 is administered through IIT Council-the apex body, Government of India under the Chairmanship of Honourable Minister, MoHRD for uniform and smooth governance of Pan-IIT in our country.

All foreign students/NRI/PIO should have passed the examination in the concerned subject and should fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for admission as per the requirement of programme from a University/Board subject to its final verification by the respective Department. The eligibility for the PhD programmes is outlined below:B.Tech / MS / M.Sc / M.Sc.Tech / M.Tech / ME / MBA or equivalent with 60% marks/6.0 CGPA on 10 point scale or equivalent.
